My Professional Journey

Over the past decade, I’ve built a career at the intersection of creativity, strategy, and mission—helping organizations clarify their voice, engage their communities, and expand their impact. My path has spanned agencies, museums, international consulting, and graduate study—all of it shaped by a belief in the power of arts, culture, and community.

Agency Foundations: Building Strategy at Scale (2016–2019)

My professional career began at Madwire, a national marketing agency where I led strategic campaigns for clients ranging from small nonprofits to national brands like the Denver Broncos and Buffalo Wild Wings. This experience gave me a firm grounding in brand management, audience segmentation, and multichannel communication strategy—all under the pressure of a fast-paced, results-oriented environment. It also taught me how to listen closely to clients, manage diverse stakeholder needs, and drive measurable results.

Nonprofit Pivot: Arts Marketing in the Mountain West (2019–2021)

Seeking work with greater cultural and social depth, I joined the Buffalo Bill Center of the West, a Smithsonian-affiliated museum near Yellowstone National Park. There, I managed marketing for five museums under one roof—developing integrated campaigns that elevated our educational mission while expanding visitor engagement. It was here I became passionate about nonprofit marketing, working cross-functionally with development, curatorial, and education teams to align messaging and mission.

Global Perspective: Independent Consulting for Mission-Driven Clients (2021–2024)

In 2021, I launched a solo consultancy supporting nonprofits, arts organizations, and social enterprises with marketing strategy, content creation, and brand development. I worked with clients across the U.S. and abroad, while living in cities including New York, London, Mexico City, Dublin, and Washington D.C. I helped organizations navigate digital transformation, improve audience communications, and align their storytelling with strategic goals—often acting as a thought partner to leadership. This work required adaptability, cultural fluency, and a deep understanding of nonprofit dynamics across different sectors and geographies.

Graduate Study: Leadership for the Arts & Nonprofits (2024–2025)

To strengthen my leadership toolkit, I pursued a master’s in Arts and Creative Enterprise Leadership at the Bolz Center for Arts Administration at UW–Madison. This intensive program sharpened my understanding of nonprofit governance, strategic planning, fundraising, and cultural policy. It also deepened my network in the arts and nonprofit communities—locally and nationally.

Today: Strategic Communications for Social Impact

Now based in Madison, Wisconsin, I partner with nonprofit organizations and cultural institutions on marketing, communications, and events that drive mission impact. My work helps teams tell clearer stories, connect with broader audiences, and align internal vision with external strategy.

I’m especially excited by roles that combine creative leadership, strategic planning, and community engagement. I thrive in collaborative environments and am always eager to contribute to organizations doing work that matters.
